Pros and cons of APODViewerLite - Astronomy Picture of the Day app for iPhone and iPad

APODViewerLite - Astronomy Picture of the Day app good for

I had this App. For awhile now, And what i like to say, Simple put it : ITS AWESOME !!! just get it.
This neat application adds real value to your daily enjoyment of the iPhone & you dont even need to be a geek scientist to get more interested in astronomy.
Checking the Astronomy Picture of the Day is pleasantly addictive, and sure beats goofing around with the keypad like users of less advanced mobile phone technologies!
Its a few moments of fascination, science and beauty to look forward to each day!!
I am very happy with this App ,its a grate job from yours , in the morning the first think I open is your App to see what you send for me.
I look forward each day to this exciting daily offering. The nebula pics especially are breathtakingly beautiful. Loved the recent bronze ocean (Titanic) one. The aurora borealis images are amazing. I tweet and Facebook almost all these images to share Eternal Beings glory with the world. Shelley Gilbert, Ossining NY

Some bad moments

[Major bug: crashes all purchased apps when soft-booting (as per installation instructions). Until developpers upgrade to compatibility with iPhone v.3.1, one star rating (zero star not possible). Premium app at 4$, should not lag in fixing problem.] --> Disregard this review as is misdirected to "APOD Viewer" - full version
Im sure this used to be a great app back in prehistory, but lack of support for iPhone 5 screen size, no monthly thumbnails view, old clunky design and ads (ouch! for a public service!) makes it truly obsolete...
Lets make an ad based app for all public ad-free websites!!!! Costs us nothing and we make money! Yay, all NASA images are public domain so they cant sue us for copyright violation either!
I am 12 and this is a very hard app yo use and i am trying to study for a test
This WAS wonderfully done in many ways. It WAS ad-free and had a much better interface than many other APOD viewers. But now the ads clutter the bottom of the screen and the initial image is much too small. (You can double tap it to have it fill the screen, so thats good, but a larger image is needed to begin with.). The fonts and labels are in garish, clashing colors. The screen is far too busy Adding ads to a previously ad-free app is dirty pool. Put out a new app with more features and, if you must, include the ads-- or, even better, because ads are almost always an intrusion, just release an advanced app at a small price. To their credit, they did get rid of the creepy Munch-like icon, although there is now a creepy robot face behind the help text! Much better apps WERE APOD and Twilit Sky. ----------------- Prior Review Notes (I deleted the new version of the app after seeing the ads, so I dont know if the things I mention here have changed.) This free version saves the photos, but theyre low-res, fuzzy. I was tempted to upgrade to the paid full version, but a review of it said it had the same problem!! Also wish that thered be a way of having the photo automatically resize to full screen without having to pinch zoom! You should be able to tap the photo and it would fill the screen.
